What is the Great British Insulation Scheme (GBIS), and Do You Qualify?
The Great British Insulation Scheme (GBIS) is a government program designed to improve energy efficiency, keep homes warm, and reduce fuel poverty.
100% Free: That’s right – there’s no cost to you.
Under this UK government scheme, accredited installers can complete insulation work on your home and secure the grant on your behalf. These upgrades will help lower your energy bills and may even boost your home’s value—at no cost to you.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Someone in your household receives benefits.
- Or the combined household income is under £31,000
Additional eligibility includes:
- Your home has an Energy Performance Certificate rating of D-G
- Your property falls within Council Tax bands A-D in England or A-E in Scotland and Wales
